Partners
Meaningful partnerships make our work possible.
Oakmont partners with local businesses and organizations to provide hands-on, career-driven, hands-on training to our students as they earn nationally recognized credentials in a variety of high demand industries. This innovative Workforce Development Education program helps prepare opportunity youth to earn a sustainable living wage, while also benefiting businesses from the following industries: Healthcare, Child Development, Construction, Manufacturing, and Information Technology.
Building community
Local companies and organizations investing in our local communities is the key to our distinct approach to recovery, learning, and preparedness for success beyond our schools.
EMPOWERING EMERGING TALENT
The working world is rapidly changing, and we are 100% committed to creating partnerships that help set up our students for long-term employability and success.
SEVERAL WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
From donating equipment to training student apprentices on-site, there are many ways your involvement can help change the lives of our students, while helping you fulfill a business need.
SCHOOL PARTNERS
Our friends and neighbors at Mt. Carmel Hospital have been incredible community partners, from the Department of Urban Health providing free counseling for our students, to the Healthy Living Program providing our students with life skills training, to the College of Nursing’s bi-annual community health fair. We are honored and humbled to work with such an amazing group of mission-driven professionals
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS
Habitat for Humanity of Summit County has been an amazing partner for our Akron-area Workforce Development Programs. Our construction students get invaluable hands-on experience on a real job site while helping to build and remodel homes in their own community.
