Through Oakmont’s Healthcare Pathway, students complete essential medical training before working toward industry credentials that lead to promising careers in the healthcare industry. In addition to CPR and First Aid training, all healthcare students are required to complete a Medical Terminology program, increasing their understanding of the core vocabulary embedded in the certification programs.

The first industry recognized credential, Certified Nursing Aid, is awarded through the Ohio Department of Health and is required if students wish to sit for the State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) exam.

Additional industry credentials available for students include: Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Certified EKG Technician and Certified Patient Care Technician.
